Lourdes
Public School & Junior College is located in the heart
of Kottayam town in Kerala which is popularly known as “The
Land of Letters, Lakes and Latex”. It is nestled under
the serene surroundings of Lourdes Forane Church. The School
came into being in 1996 with the objective of providing mental,
cultural and moral development of children. It provides high
quality education to both boys and girls in the age group
of 4-17 years against the background of true Indian culture
and a healthy environment in which they imbibe a spirit of
service to community and ultimately to mankind.

| Management |
Lourdes Public School and Junior College is owned and managed
by Lourdes Education Trust on behalf of Lourdes Forane Church
belonging to the Archdiocese of Changanacherry. The Archbishop
of Changanacherry is its Patron and the vicar of Lourdes Forane
Church is the Manager. The manager together with the trustees
of the church manages the day to day running of the school.

| Status |
It is an English medium, Co-educational School recognized by
the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.
It prepares children for All India Secondary School Examination
(AISSE -10th) and All India Senior School Certificate Examination
(AISSCE -12th). After passing the 12th standard examination,
the student can either join graduate courses at any University
or can complete for the admission to professional courses such
as Medicine, Engineering and other Administrative courses.

The School can
boast of a sprawling building which houses a well furnished
administrative block, class rooms, the Science, Maths, Computer
and Language labs. The campus also includes an extensive playground,
a top class Basketball court with ample facilities and a football
ground. The Church and Grotto adorn our school campus. The
holy atmosphere in the grotto calms you and energizes you
to a fresh start each day.

Lourdes Public School and Junior College is situated just opposite
to the District Head Quarters Kottayam, and has easy access
to the Kottayam Railway Station, and local bus stops. The location
is such that it is easy to approach the School anywhere from
town without any hassles.
